The FA Cup final was another special occasion as we secured the trophy for the seventh time in our history with victory in the first-ever all-Manchester final.
Ilkay Gundogan scored two brilliant volleys as we beat Manchester United 2-1 to secure our second Premier League and FA Cup double and maintain our challenge for a historic Treble.
Our journey began back in January with a 4-0 victory over Chelsea at the Etihad with two goals from Riyad Mahrez and strikes from Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden.

Nathan Ake’s measured finish secured a 1-0 win over Arsenal before a 3-0 victory at Bristol City in the fifth round courtesy of a Foden brace and Kevin De Bruyne strike.
We faced Vincent Kompany’s Burnley in the sixth round and claimed an emphatic 6-0 victory with Erling Haaland smashing another hat-trick along with two goals for Alvarez and another for Cole Palmer.
City headed to Wembley for a semi-final showdown with Championship side Sheffield United and this time Mahrez hit a hat-trick.
Then it was back to the national stadium to face United and two memorable strikes from captain Gundogan who went onto lift the trophy in front of the jubilant City fans.
