The 1998-99 season. Still one of the most remarkable in our history.

The culmination of the campaign, of course, will never be forgotten, with our dramatic penalty shoot-out win over Gillingham in the Playoff final at Wembley now the stuff of legend.

But before all that there was a two-legged semi-final to negotiate, with local rivals Wigan Athletic looking to deny us a trip to the capital.

A 1-1 draw at Springfield Park in the first leg set things up nicely for the Maine Road return four days later.

What followed was a tense, fraught night...but one that ultimately ended in celebration.

And today - exactly 21 years since the second leg - you can relive the best of the action.
