Zack Steffen said he was delighted to have marked his City Champions League debut with a clean sheet.

The American international goalkeeper played his part in a fine 3-0 win for City over Marseille at the Etihad.

And as he reflected on our fifth Group C win in six outings, Steffen said there were numerous positives to draw on.

“I love shut-outs! The guys in front of me did a really good job in terms of limiting their chances and I didn’t really have too much to do so kudos to the guys in front of me,” Zack told CityTV.

“We wanted to get the win and a shut-out to keep the confidence going ahead of the derby at the weekend.

“It’s a big game and we’re excited for it.”
