It means City bow out of the competition at the fourth round stage, but while Zinchenko was disappointed that we weren’t able to progress, he insists that the focus now needs to turn towards our next match, a Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
He said: “It wasn’t our day but we created a lot of chances to score.
“Unfortunately, we didn’t today but this can happen, this is football.
“We need to focus on the next one, we will take the best from this game and we are going to analyse it to see what we could do more, but I think everything will be fine.”
