Having signed from North Carolina Courage earlier this month, the American World Cup winner made an impressive debut on Sunday in our emphatic 4-0 FA Women’s Super League success over West Ham.
The central defender slotted in seamlessly alongside City and England skipper Houghton at the base of our defence – and reflecting on her first week or so at the Club, Dahlkemper said she was already learning from the Lionesses icon.
“Steph’s been amazing to work with,” Abby asserted at a press conference to officially welcome her to the Club.

“I have always respected her and admired her play and her amazing career thus far.
“Being able to play with her was seamless, she’s amazing with the ball at her feet and an amazing defender.
“Being able to work with her, ask questions and work together was awesome. Hopefully we’re able to continue that partnership and help the team.”
