Walsh and Roebuck will both return to the Joie Stadium in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League opener for the first time since moving to Spain.
They made a combined 347 appearances for the Club before moving to Barcelona in 2022 and 2024 respectively with Greenwood full of praise for both former City stars.
It’s a reunion she’s relishing as Gareth Taylor’s side look to make a statement against the reigning European Champions.
Asked whether she’d spoken to either player before Wednesday’s showdown, Greenwood said: “Yes, but absolutely nothing about football, actually.

“I speak to Ellie every day, she’s one of my best friends anyway so I speak to her about how she is in general, Keira’s the same.
“Our chat history is honestly nothing about football.
“I could speak about Keira all day. I think she’s an incredible footballer and I’ve been lucky enough to play with her here at City and England.
“What she does off the ball and on the ball, she’s so intelligent and I think she’s improved off the ball definitely.
“She’s now added goals and assists, just hopefully not tomorrow. She’s a top player and I have so much respect for her.”
