Gareth Taylor’s side equalled our highest-ever points total last season but missed out on the WSL title on goal difference to Chelsea.
But some exciting additions to the squad – including the WSL’s record goalscorer Vivianne Miedema - as well mean we’re equipped for another sustained push for silverware on multiple fronts.
A return to Champions League action also presents another exciting prospect for Greenwood, who is confident City have what it takes to go the distance on a domestic and European front.
“I can’t wait. I’m counting the days down to be honest,” our new captain explained.
“We’ve prepared really well and had a really good pre-season on and off the pitch. Going in that changing room now, the conversations are about Paris FC, Arsenal away, let’s get going now.
“There’s nothing like a Champions League night in Manchester for me. It’s where this Club should be.

“It’s something we should be proud of but it’s also an expectation for us to be competing in the Champions League. We know we’re good enough and are back there now.
“If you want to be successful in this competition you have to play the best teams and that’s what we want to do.
“I can feel the excitement around the place now as the season gets closer to starting. We’re ready now.”
