Alex Greenwood has heaped praise on Laura Blindkilde Brown and her professionalism following her maiden European strike against Hammarby.

The youngster opened the scoring at the Joie Stadium with a composed finish early in the second half for her first Champions League goal.

City then added a second late on through an Aoba Fujino diving header as the Blues maintained our 100% start to Group D.

And Greenwood felt that Blindkilde Brown’s hard work off the pitch helped her deliver having been trusted to start against our Swedish opponents.

“Fair play to Laura, I’m so happy for her and Aoba as well,” the captain said.

“Laura’s a great girl, a really good professional. She comes in every day and works so hard. She got her chance tonight and I thought she did really well.

“I think we’re a really close group who work really hard off the pitch.

“The staff provide us with really good information, and we deliver it on the pitch.

“We work hard on those things and get the rewards on the pitch.”
