Alex Greenwood says Manchester City will give everything to win our final game at Aston Villa with the Women’s Super League title set to go to the final day of the season.

After Lauren Hemp’s first half opener, two late goals saw Arsenal grab a 2-1 victory to keep us six points clear of Chelsea who have two matches in hand.

It was a heartbreaking finish as we missed out on a chance to secure a record-breaking 15th successive win in the WSL.

Greenwood reflected that City must just focus on winning the last match at Villa and paid tribute to Club legend Steph Houghton as she said farewell to Joie Stadium.

“The game and then obviously the situation with Steph, I’m a little bit emotional right now,” she said.

“After I’ve had a chance to switch back to football mode I’ll reflect on it, and we will as a team.

“We’ll see what we did well and what we didn’t do well but the objective doesn’t change. We have to go and win the last game.”

Chelsea play Bristol City and Tottenham away before facing Manchester United at the same time as City play Villa at 15:00 (UK) on Saturday 18 May.

We currently have a better goal difference of seven goals which Emma Hayes’ side will hope to cut into.

“We have to maybe hope a little bit, but nothing changes, we have to prepared for the last game and to go to Villa Park and win,” she added.
