Andrée Jeglertz says his side enjoy playing at the Etihad Stadium as we prepare to face Arsenal on Sunday.

We host the Gunners at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday 4 October with kick-off set for 16:30 (UK) as we hope to continue our 100% Barclays Women’s Super League record this season.

It’s marks our fifth game of the campaign following previous victories over Birmingham, Liverpool, Aston Villa and a 1-0 win at Charlton Athletic.

Jeglertz’s side have previously displayed a flawless duo of performances when playing at the Etihad Stadium after claiming victories over Chelsea and Manchester United last season.

The two clashes also saw the Blues score eight while conceding just the one goal and the boss says his side relish the opportunity to play there.

“They have been amazing and I hope we can get one on Sunday again,” he said.

“I think it’s fantastic to go there and play those games.

“The atmosphere has been amazing, we have had good results, we can feel how special it is to play there.

“It’s amazing to be part of that.”

Someone who scored on both occasions in last season’s campaign was Bunny Shaw and the manager shone great praise on our prolific striker when he spoke to journalists at the CFA.

“Bunny’s development has been her work rate,” he added.

“Last year she did amazing things for the Club by scoring a lot of goals but this year she’s taken the next step in leading by example in many more things than I’d seen before.

“Holdup play, press, slide tackles, she’s doing a couple of things she’s never done before, there’s something in her that she’s growing as a player and that’s what this team is about.

“No matter who you are you’re curious about getting a bit better.”
