Liverpool fought back to take the lead before the 30 minute mark, first through Bergstrom before Endemann smashed a loose ball home after a mix-up at the back.
But City sprung back into action and after pushing the Reds’ defence Clinton’s dangerous cross was deflected into the Liverpool net by Grace Fisk, who had stretched out a foot to prevent Shaw from getting on the end of it.
And as the visitors went in search of an equaliser, Hemp broke forward and confidently secured her second of the night and City’s fourth to complete a theatrical turnaround.
