City extended our winning start in the Barclays Women’s Super League to six matches with a hard-fought triumph over the Seagulls.
The Blues roared into an early lead thanks to a Bunny Shaw brace and Niamh Charles strike inside the opening 17 minutes.
Our opener came after five minutes when Shaw fired home from a Lauren Hemp cross, with the pair combining again soon after to double our advantage.

Charles then opened her account for the Blues with a low drive less than 60 seconds later.
But Brighton fought back to make it 3-2 at the break, with Olivia Garcia and Caitlin Hayes finding the net for the visitors.
City could’ve extended our advantage after the break with Shaw going close to completing her hat-trick late on, but ultimately the Blues had done enough to maintain our 100% start to the WSL campaign.
