Go inside the Etihad Stadium dressing room to hear what Andrée Jeglertz said to his players ahead of City's emphatic 5-1 WSL win over Chelsea.

The Blues moved 11 points clear at the top of the WSL after delivering a devastating display of attacking football.

Chelsea came into the tie with the league’s best defensive record having conceded just eight times this season, but shipped another five at the Etihad.

Kerolin’s first City hat-trick spearheaded the win, with Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Vivianne Miedema adding further goals to complete the rout.

The Brazilian opened the scoring after 13 minutes with a deflected effort from a corner, before Shaw outmuscled Naomi Girma and fired past Hannah Hampton to earn us a two-goal lead heading into the break.

A third would follow early in the second half as Kerolin deftly lifted the ball over Hampton after racing through one-on-one, before the winger completed her treble when tapping home Lauren Hemp’s cutback.

Alyssa Thompson pulled one back for the visitors midway through the second half, but Miedema’s flicked header from a corner restored our four-goal advantage.

In doing so, Jeglertz made history by overseeing the longest winning streak in WSL history from a Head Coach in their debut season.
