The England winger returned from a two-month ankle injury lay-off in our 2-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park as a second half substitute, before starting our Manchester derby victory the following week.
Hemp’s stunning strike was the pick of the bunch as City beat United 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium, with the winger one of our star performers in a memorable triumph.
And while Jeglertz insists she’s still approaching 100%, he’s pleased with how our number 11’s gradual reintroduction to the fold has been handled.
Asked about the patient return of Hemp, our Head Coach said: “It’s good you highlighted that. From my point of view sometimes [the medical team take it] a little slow (laughs), but always in a very professional way.
“They’re concerned about the players doing it in the right steps.
“We took it slow with Lauren, she played 30 minutes against Everton, then more against United but she’s still on her way back if that makes sense.
“They’re very professional and do it in a very good way, it’s worth mentioning that with injured players it’s not about just throwing them in and they’re ready to play.
“They’ve [the medical team] done a great job.”
