The Blues host the Villans at the Joie Stadium on Sunday 14 December, with kick-off scheduled for 11:55 (UK) in what is our final Barclays Women’s Super League assignment of 2025.
Jeglertz’s side will be aiming to record a 10th straight top-flight win to close the calendar year in the top-flight and maintain our at least six-point lead at the division’s summit.
Meanwhile, Natalia Arroyo’s team beat Liverpool 3-0 on Thursday in their previous outing and, earlier this season, also recorded an away win at Manchester United and earned a draw with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
As a result, the Swede says City are anticipating a tough encounter on Sunday, but stated how our meticulous preparations won’t change in the build-up to the game.
“All the players in this league are physically ready to play with just a couple days turnaround,” Jeglertz said.

“For them, definitely they will have a strong team who is physically ready for Sunday.
“More for them, that they are doing a good performance and giving them confidence in the team.
“That will be definitely something that we will be facing Sunday a team coming from a win and a team also with confidence. It hasn’t that big of an impact [that they played on Thursday].
“They’re a good team. We don’t prepare different for this game than we do.
“It’s always like what are they good at and what are their weaknesses. Even though they’ve definitely doing good results away at teams they weren’t expected to, we are fully aware it’s a good team.
“At the same time, I think we are a pretty decent team. So I think we have a good opportunity if we are doing the things we’ve done so far, we have all the opportunities to win the game.
“There is definitely an opponent who will try to destroy that, but it’s been like that in all games.”
