Andrée Jeglertz says he and his team are anticipating a difficult game against Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday evening.

City welcome the Seagulls to the Joie Stadium for a 19:30 (UK) kick-off on Friday 12 September, in what is our first game on home soil in 2025/26.

And after a difficult opening match against Chelsea, which saw us fall to a narrow 2-1 defeat, Jeglertz is expecting Friday’s fixture to be another challenge for his team that they are ready to face head-on.

MATCH PREVIEW | CITY V BRIGHTON

“Brighton is a difficult team to scout,” began the Head Coach.

“They are possession-based and have a couple of rotations and tactical moments in the game that are giving us challenges.

“It’s an interesting team because they can ask questions of us. They also have good individual players too.

“Every time we don’t have the ball we need to have a clear mindset that everybody needs to know that if we don’t defend in a proper way, Brighton will punish us with the way they play and individual skill.

“Everything is about getting our first win on Friday and a good performance to take that next step.”
