It’s been an incredible 18 months for the Japanese midfielder since her switch to City on transfer deadline day in September 2022 from West Ham United.
Having been included in the PFA WSL Team of the Year for 2022/23, a sport on the Ballon d’Or shortlist would follow at the end of the year.
And in January 2024, a two-year contract extension would follow for one of the most influential and popular players in the City squad.
Given her rapid rise, plenty of fans from around the world will be desperate to get to know our Japanese star a little better.
With that in mind, City contacted Hasegawa’s former club, Toda Minami Football Club – now known as Gramado Togi Minami – to get some of their current youngsters in touch with their famous ex-player.
After several questions from the next generation of talent at her former club, and a surprise message from a familiar face, it was time for Yui to respond to some questions from fans around the world.
