The Jamaican sensationally committed her future to the Club until 2030 while on stage at the Co-op Live After Party event in front of thousands of City fans.
Already our record goalscorer, Shaw enjoyed perhaps her finest individual season to date across 2025/26, winning the WSL Golden Boot for a record third successive year among a swathe of individual awards.

Shaw admits she felt a few nerves ahead of announcing her extension but added it was a particularly special moment for her.
“Yeah, I was nervous to be fair,” our number nine reflected.
“As footballers when you’re playing, we’re focusing on the pitch. Yes, there’s people there, but you don’t really see them as much.
“But to be on stage, every time I look around, I’m making eye contact. I was a bit nervous to be fair but for me I was happy that I was able to share that news with the fans directly because they’ve been supporting me from day one.
“To be fair I didn’t expect the reaction from the team-mates.
“Obviously, 90% of them didn’t know what was going on, because when I’ve looked back at the video I’ve seen for example Coombsy [Laura Coombs] and Becs’ [Rebecca Knaak] faces and I found that very funny but like I said, I always wanted to be here.
“I think we have a fantastic group of people and players. That moment will stay with me forever, for sure.”
