Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw says her City team-mates play a vital role in her scoring success.

The Jamaican grabbed a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur to help City to a 4-0 win at the Etihad Stadium.

It was her third treble against Spurs, a record in the WSL against a single opponent, and also saw the forward move top of the league’s all-time hat-tricks list in the process.

But Shaw was quick to heap praise on her fellow City stars and the influence they have on her remarkable scoring form.

Speaking about her breaking the WSL hat-trick record, she said: “I didn’t know that, but the players I have around me make it easier for me.

“I just have to keep my head down, stay consistent and be ready when those balls come in.

“Today we came out here and wanted to get the job done. Spurs can be a tricky game and we’re aware of that.

“We wanted to come out and stamp our class early on and I think we did that.”
