The 24-year-old winger joined the Club from Everton in the summer of 2020, enjoying a stellar debut campaign at the Academy Stadium.
Despite an ACL injury cutting her campaign short in May 2021, Kelly’s 16 goals in 34 matches saw her named City’s Player of the Season, while she also earned a spot in the PFA’s Team of the Year.
And with her recovery going well, the England international has used her time away from the pitch as an opportunity to come back fitter and stronger than before.
“The best is yet to come from me. This is a time where I’ve learned so much about myself off the pitch but I’m ready to go now,” she said.
“I was happy with the way I settled in, I think my performances on the pitch showed how happy I was off it as well which was massive.
“You can see being injured as a negative, but I’ve learned so much about my body and my mental strength as well. I can push myself so much further than I thought I could.
“It’s been a massive learning point, but the Club have looked after me which I’m massively appreciative for and I’m ready to go now.
“I’m definitely coming back as a better player, mentally stronger and physically in a much better place. I can feel myself getting back to where I was before if not better.”
