Chloe Kelly says she’s ‘loving every minute back on the pitch’ as she started her first match for almost a year.

City secured another return to Wembley to play in a final, with a 4-1 victory in the Women’s FA Cup semi-final over West Ham.

The spotlight was firmly on Kelly, as she was given a place in the starting line up by Gareth Taylor, following her ACL injury on the 2 May last year.

And she rewarded that return, with a goal as she latched onto a misplaced pass and finished calmy which doubled our advantage in the game.

And appearing before mancity.com after the win, Kelly was joyous to be out on the pitch again after a period on the sidelines.

“I’m loving every minute back on the pitch!” our number nine exclaimed.

“It was brilliant for my confidence as well and I’m just enjoying my football.

“To be back out there again and the manager giving me that confidence to go out there and play 60 minutes is brilliant and I’m just going to keep building from there.

“I’ve worked so hard for these moments so it’s great to be back out here.”
