Students from Oldham Academy Oasis and St Willibrords Catholic Primary School who engage in these initiatives were also given a guided tour of the Academy Stadium, which included stops at the media auditorium and changing rooms.
The Inspires and Primary Stars initiatives are funded by the Premier League, with the aim to support young people both in terms of education and in leading active lifestyles.
Premier League Inspires focuses on secondary school students, providing advice and guidance to those at risk of not reaching their potential both in education and into early adulthood.
The Primary Stars initiative engages pupils under the age of 11 – and their teachers – and helps them to lead healthier, more active lifestyles through Physical Education lessons and bespoke workshops.
