Following a prolonged rest period for some of our international stars, fresh from their Olympic exploits this summer, it was back to the grind for City ahead of what promises to be an enthralling campaign.
Gareth Taylor oversaw a full complement of players for the first time at a sunny CFA, as the start of the 2021-22 season sits tantalisingly on the horizon.
Gold medallist Janine Beckie was out first along with defender Alex Greenwood, with the pair carrying out the balls and bibs and looking in high spirits ahead of the session.
First up for City is the small matter of a two-legged UEFA Women’s Champions League second round clash against Real Madrid, with our WSL curtain-raiser at Goodison Park sandwiched in between.
It’s a tricky start to the new campaign but one that the players will be relishing, as demonstrated by some typically sharp touches in several rondo sessions.

New signings Khadija Shaw, Vicky Losada, Ruby Mace and Hayley Raso were also in the thick of the action as they continue to find their feet in new surroundings and will all be desperate to hit the ground running at their new club.
