On this day in 2018 Manchester City produced an attacking masterclass to beat West Ham United 7-1 in the FA WSL.

Georgia Stanway and Nikita Parris both scored a brace apiece, but it was Caroline Weir who netted the pick of the goals with a superb half volley to put City in front.

Parris made it 3-0 inside 20 minutes, beating the Hammers’ goalkeeper with a back-header before rounding her for a simple finish.

City then had to wait until the last 20 minutes to complete the rout, with Stanway scoring either side of a Steph Houghton header.

Tessa Wullaert made it a magnificent seven with a 20-yard drive the ‘keeper fumbled after Esmee de Graaf struck for the visitor’s consolation.
