The best of the action from a convincing Barclays Women's Super League triumph at Selhurst Park.

City marked our 200th WSL fixture in style with a convincing win over Crystal Palace, extending our unbeaten start to 2024/25 to ten matches in all competitions.

Jess Park opened the scoring on the cusp of half-time with an exquisite long-range effort, chipping the ball over Palace stopper Shae Yanez from 25 yards.

It was just rewards for a convincing first half display, with the Blues having already gone close through Lauren Hemp and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw.

A second would follow soon after the restart when Jill Roord, denied just moments before by a phenomenal Yanez save, confidently stroked home a loose ball to double the advantage.

Palace were defiant in their response and struck the post through Katie Stengel around the hour mark, but a third from Shaw put the game to bed at Selhurst Park.

The Jamaican met Park’s pinpoint cross and headed back across goal and into the net for her seventh goal of the season in all competitions.

City could have made it four late on when Chloe Kelly forced an excellent reflex save from Yanez in stoppage time, but a ninth win in ten this season had already been sealed.
