A brace from Jill Roord, plus further strikes from Laura Coombs and Mary Fowler, earned Gareth Taylor‘s side a deserved spot in Monday evening’s fifth round draw.
City’s first competitive fixture of 2024 got off to a flying start when Coombs stroked home Chloe Kelly‘s cross on the volley inside ten minutes.

It was two before the break when Roord latched onto another Kelly pass before finding the top corner of the Durham net in devastating fashion.
The Dutch international doubled her personal tally in the second half, deftly lofting the ball over Durham stopper Naoisha McAloon after linking up brilliantly with Lauren Hemp.
And with stoppage time approaching Fowler wrapped up the scoring when she reacted quickest to a rebounded Kelly effort and found the bottom corner.
