To mark International Day of Families (on May 15), Manchester City’s Esme Morgan attended a recent City in the Community (CITC) City Play Together session.

At the session, Morgan took part in a game with young participants and their families, learning about the key aims of City Play Together.

Commenting on the session, Esme said: “I just loved how much fun the kids were having.

“I think it is a really cool initiative because I think it is so important for kids to get into the habit of playing games and being sociable and having healthy, active lifestyles.”

CITC’s City Play Together programme supports two- to-five-year-olds across Greater Manchester, with the aim to help get families and their children to take part in physical activity together.

Current sessions are being delivered in Youth Zones and SureStart Centres across Manchester.
