Seven days on from making her England debut against Czech Republic, she turned 22 on Tuesday!
And in celebration of her unforgettable week, we’ve spoken to City’s academy graduate on the landmark moment of representing her country for the first time.
Morgan came on just past the hour mark in the 0-0 draw with Czech Republic to earn her first senior Lionesses cap in what was a proud moment for the whole family.
Her parents travelled to be at the game over at the Amex Stadium in Brighton on Tuesday evening.
Both were emotional as they hugged their daughter post-match, with her mum crying tears of joy on her shoulder.
And Morgan herself says the landmark moment hasn’t quite sunk in yet – and no surprise considering the journey she’s been on to get here.
The senior international debut comes just two months after the 21-year-old made her return from a lower leg fracture, which had kept her side-lined for almost an entire year.
While that injury provided a real low moment, this was undoubtedly one of the highest points in her flourishing career so far and one she’s still buzzing about now.
Asked whether it had sunk in yet, she said: “I don’t think it has to be honest.
“I’ve just been beaming from ear to ear ever since.
“When I actually got told to go warm up, I laughed out loud which I don’t think is a normal reaction. But I was just so excited.

“I really did not expect to come on. The team were playing relatively well and had done so well against USA, I didn’t think there were going to be any changes. I thought it was going to stay the same.
“I think that’s why I was so shocked when I did get told to go and warm up.
“When I was running around, seeing the crowd and all the noise which was so loud, I was just in a dream world to be honest. I don’t think it’s sunk in yet.”
Morgan was hoping to get some much need shut-eye after the match but admits she struggled to switch off on the way home, such was her excitement at what had just happened.
So, she took it as an opportunity to thank everyone who’d congratulated her on the debut.
She continued: “I couldn’t sleep no matter what I tried. I tried all kinds of tricks that I’d read about – like counting to 10 and breathing in for five seconds – but nothing was working. I just couldn’t sleep.
“I was chatting in the car back and replying to people who’d messaged. I was going through app by app trying to respond to everyone. People were saying so many nice things. It was really touching. It was so, so nice. I was smiling the whole time. I couldn’t get over it.”
