Summer signings Vicky Losada and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw both scored their first goals for the Club, with Janine Beckie and captain Steph Houghton also on target.
Losada gave City the lead in the 26th minute when she cannoned a fierce drive in off the post after Caroline Weir’s blocked effort fell kindly for her and Beckie then doubled the lead with a 20-yard drive that found the bottom corner.
Two minutes later Shaw ensured the visitors went into the break three goals to the good as she tapped in from close range following a strong run from former Everton forward Hayley Raso.
Houghton completed the scoring in the 67th minute, curling a brilliant free-kick into the top corner from the edge of the area.
City are back in action on Tuesday 8 September, when Real Madrid visit the Academy Stadium for the second leg of our Women’s Champions League second round clash.
