Beaten semi-finalists in the Continental Cup last season, City began our latest push for silverware in style, with goals from Jess Park and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw earning a 2-1 victory.
We’d begun the 2023/24 campaign in fine form, with four points picked up from our opening two games of the WSL season, and were quick out of the traps once again.
It was a dominant display from the Blues, with Park tapping home early on before Shaw smashed home a second early in the second half.
Former City player Toni Duggan pulled one back for the Toffees in the late stages of the match, but it was nonetheless a strong display and a deserved win for Taylor’s side.
