Lauren Hemp and Mary Fowler’s first league goals of the season helped us to the success at the Joie Stadium which extended our unbeaten start to the season to five straight matches in all competitions.
The Hammers started brightly and thought they had taken the lead when Viviane Asseyi collected the ball behind our defence and slotted home, but her effort was chalked off with the forward straying into an offside position.

That sparked the hosts into life and we broke the deadlock inside the 10th minute when Fowler found Hemp inside the box before the latter showed great feet to create an opening and fire home.
We then had to wait until the second half for our second when substitute Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s relentless press saw her regain possession before she chipped towards the Australia international who headed past Kinga Szemik.
Leila Ouahabi sent a thunderous effort crashing off the crossbar in the closing stages but the scoreline remained 2-0 as we recorded back-to-back league wins at the Joie Stadium.
