Lauren Hemp scored a late equaliser against the Serie A outfit as we earned a draw in our first preseason outing of 2026.

Jeglertz rang the changes at the break to distribute minutes across the squad which included introductions for members of our Next Gen squad and Niamh Charles’ first appearance since her summer arrival from Chelsea.
In the Italian heat the energy levels dropped somewhat, but City continued to battle until the end and we found an equaliser when Hemp cut onto her left foot and saw her effort loop into the net via a deflection.
The England international’s 88th-minute goal deservedly levelled for the visitors as the well-contested friendly ended in a draw.
