Since returning to the City Football Academy ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, the boss, his staff and players have been constantly raising the intensity to our meticulous schedule to best prepare for the challenges that lie ahead.
Those plans have now led to friendly matches – starting with the trip to Fiorentina who enjoyed a strong Serie A campaign in 2025/26, finishing fourth.
It will provide precious minutes for our WSL and FA Cup double-winners as well as the vital experience of playing crack European opposition ahead of our return to the Champions League next term.
