Katie Startup and Gracie Prior discuss the highs and lows of professional football in the latest episode of Footballers and Founders.

The Club have launched an International Women’s Day collaboration with Buy Women Built to celebrate and inspire the next generation of female founded businesses and footballers.

As part of that campaign, members of our Women’s First Team have joined some inspirational founders to chat about the similarities and challenges that come at the top level of business and football.

In the previous episode, Alex Greenwood and Lauren Hemp joined Polly McMaster (The Fold) and Tajinder Banwait MBE (Urban Apothecary) for a candid and insightful discussion about their stories so far.

This week, Startup and Prior spoke with Ama Amo-Agyei (Plantmade) and Melanie Brownlow (St. Moriz), reflecting on their achievements so far and the different dynamics that working in a team brings.

Startup discusses the positive impact of her mental health advocacy, having initially chosen her shirt number (40) as a reminder of a shocking stat around the subject.

The conversation then turns towards how Prior and Startup are able to manage the pressure that comes with top level sport, and the importance of switching off from the game when needed.
