Gareth Taylor says City's excellent home form is in large part down to the atmosphere created at the Joie Stadium.

Only a late equaliser denied us all three points against champions Chelsea last weekend - even after Alex Greenwood and Lauren Hemp were both sent off.

That result at our sold out ground extended our unbeaten home run in the Barclays Women’s Super League to 20 games.

Taylor is hoping to put on another show in front of our own fans when Bristol City are the visitors this Sunday.

“I think it’s an amazing environment to play in,” he said in Friday’s pre-match press conference.

“The Joie Stadium last weekend had the atmosphere, surroundings and surface to help us show our identity. Phenomenal support.

“The fans can really see what were trying to do as a team to have it consistently is great.

“To go unbeaten at home all season is no mean feat. That is so difficult given the ever increasing standard of WSL. That’s not to be overlooked.

“We had everything thrown at us last weekend and the girls maintained the record. I really enjoy home games and it’s something to look forward to.”
