The Netherlands international won her 100th cap during the international break and also scored twice in a 15-0 victory over Indonesia.
That took her tally to three goals in two games after her winner against Aston Villa in City’s 2-1 victory that kept us top of the WSL.
Roord missed much of last season after a knee injury and Taylor says he doesn’t want to put too much pressure on players recovering from long-term setbacks.
And ahead of our clash at newly-promoted Crystal Palace on Sunday, which kicks off at 14:00 (UK), the City boss says he has been impressed by her attitude and ability to take everything in her stride.

“I’m super impressed with Jill, I always have been,” Taylor said. “Her reaction and attitude to everything that’s been put in front of her has been great.
“She had a tight game in Indonesia where she was able to get a couple of goals! But that was important for her and the next game was against Denmark when she won her 100th cap and that was super impressive.
“I was really pleased when she got her goal against Villa because we don’t put any unnecessary pressure on her because she’s finding her way back and we try to be patient with all of our players that have recovered from those sort of injuries.
“For her to get that confidence and more game time under her belt has been important and we really pushed her in the period before the international break just because some of our games were quite tight. And she looked as fresh in the 90th minute as she did in the first.”
