Before the international break, we were in a red hot run of form, having won our last four WSL games in succession.
That included home wins over Leicester (4-0) and Liverpool (2-1) and away victories over Tottenham (0-3) and Reading (0-3).
When you add in our 6-0 defeat of Blackburn in the League Cup, it’s five in a row for Taylor’s side, who have bounced back brilliantly from back-to-back defeats to Aston Villa and Chelsea to start the season.
The boss is looking for more of the same from his players in our match with the Toffees as we travel to Walton Hall Park for a 15:00 (UK time) kick-off on Saturday.
On getting the momentum going again, he said: “Yeah we’re going to try.
“It’s always a tough game at Walton Hall and Everton, with a new manager, have done fairly well so far.

“It’s never easy but we’ve highlighted a few areas which we want to exploit.
“We haven’t had much time, same as Everton, coming back off the international break and losing a day with the game being brought forward 24 hours.
“We’ve lost that capacity to do more but the players are in a good spot.
“There’s never a good time for an international break but it’s about getting into the norm of what we do.
“We’ll try to get a result.”
Everton will provide a stern test as they host City with new leadership this season in Brian Sørensen.
They are ambitious and keen to challenge in the upper echelons of the WSL going-forward.
While we sit in fourth, the Toffees currently lie in seventh in the table having won three and lost three of their opening six matches this season.
Taylor is an admirer and thinks they need ‘stability’ to kick on.
He added: “It’s really difficult when you’re not in there.
“It’s a big club for a start, Willie Kirk did a great job when he was there and then a transition with a couple of managers.
“Brian seems a decent guy and coach. He needs time to be assessed and they’ll need time to achieve that aim [of pushing on].
“They need stability, it’s really important and if you have the right people in charge, give them the best support you can and anything’s possible.
“It’ll take them a few windows to get the team how he wants it, that takes time, investment and managing.
“If they get that right they have as good an opportunity as anyone else.”
