Gareth Taylor says Julie Blakstad has settled well into City life and is a pleasure to work with.

The Norwegian, who joined the Club in January, netted her first goal in Sunday’s 4-0 rout over Leicester - a cross-shot that flew past Demi Lambourne and into the top corner.

Reflecting on the triumph after the game, Taylor hailed the impact his latest recruit has made, praising her work ethic and eagerness to learn.

“She’s done well,” he told mancity.com. “We’ve got some work to put into her but you can see the makings of a really good player there.

“We gave her a bit of ribbing about whether she meant that - whether it was a cross or shot - but she’s a joy to work with.

“She works tremendously hard and she’s always got a smile on her face.”
