Goals from Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Jess Park were enough to earn a 2-0 win at the Joie Stadium as City rounded off a sequence of three games in seven days on a positive note.

But despite those difficulties, Taylor was impressed by how his side handled the tie and ultimately booked our spot in the FA Cup last four.

He said: “We’ve had quite a lot of illness over this week which has made it difficult.
“Jill [Roord] has been really ill, we lost Laura Coombs to illness today as well as a number of others.
“So, great credit to the girls that we’ve got to a semi-final, which is amazing.
“We have a [League Cup] final to look forward to and a [Champions League] quarter-final as well. I think this group of players have performed and got the job done when it really matters.”
