City trail 3-0 from the first leg in Monza and whilst Taylor believes his players can stage a comeback, he acknowledges it will take a perfect performance at both ends of the pitch.
Barcelona created a host of chances in the first leg, but the City boss admits his side will have to take risks in attack if we’re to rescue the tie.
“It is achievable, but we know we need to be really tight in everything we do,” he said at his pre-match press conference.
“We need things to go our way. We understand that.
“We will give it our very best, be on the front foot from minute one and take the game to Barca as much as we can.
“We need to make sure we take our opportunities tomorrow. We can’t be too cautious. We have to attack and control the counter.
“We are in a situation where the chips have to go all in. I don’t want the players to come off feeling we were cautious. We have to be brave.”
Taylor also paid tribute to Sergio Aguero, after the announcement that he would leave the Club when his contract expires in the summer.
A former City striker himself, Taylor hailed the Argentine’s achievements and impact during his 10-years at the Etihad Stadium.
“He has scored a number of goals and been a huge fans favourite,” he added.
“My youngest son who is now 18, Aguero was his favourite player [growing up]. He was besotted with him.
“To do what he has done and to maintain the levels through three managers has been incredible. We have had some amazing ambassadors for this club and Sergio is one of them.
