The Jamaica international’s record-breaking season in blue also saw her become the Club’s all-time record goalscorer in March.
She has claimed a phenomenal 21 goals from 18 Barclays Women’s Super League games, proving a key figure in City’s 14-game winning run as we enter the final two games of the campaign.

And the boss Taylor was able to identify why Shaw has earned the prestigious award.
“The goals have helped a lot, the goals are massively important because that’s what you need when you play in that area of the pitch and she’s been really well supported by the team,” said Taylor.
“She keeps pushing her game to new levels, we still feel there’s lots more for Bunny to improve on but she’s in a really good place now.
“Obviously she’s come out of the team through injury but it’s amazing for her to win the award and I think it’s fully deserved.
“She’s been really supportive,” Taylor continued.
“She was down the last few days in London to see the specialists but everything’s good in that respect.
“Where she can, same as Jill, same as Sandy, she’s been supporting well. There is a lot of positive signs.”
Taylor also spoke about the WSL title race with Chelsea and our clash with Arsenal being Steph Houghton‘s final home game before her retirement.
