Gareth Taylor has urged his City players to leave nothing out on the Old Trafford pitch in today’s Manchester derby.

The latest meeting between the two city rivals in the Barclays Women’s Super League kicks-off 16:30 (UK).

And the boss has encouraged his team to enjoy the occasion against Marc Skinner’s side, but has stated his desire for us to stamp our authority on the clash.

“[We’re feeling] good and looking forward to it,” he declared.

“It’s a typical Manchester day [with] lots of rain, but a good surface to play on and a big pitch for us to play on, so looking forward to the challenge.

“[My message is to] just to enjoy it, I think that’s the main one – go out and give everything.

“We know we’ll have moments where we control the play, we need to be composed and calm in that situation.

“But mainly to go out and enjoy the occasion.”

“We’ll want to try and silence them [the home crowd], which I think is important.

“We’ll do that by dominating the play like we normally do and we need to be calm and composed on the ball and when we get our opportunities – be clinical.”
