Gareth Taylor felt Manchester City were full value for our 2-1 Barclays Women's Super League win over Arsenal.

Goals from Lauren Hemp and Chloe Kelly capped off a dominant first half for the hosts, with Rafaelle’s header after the break the only blemish on an otherwise excellent performance.

Victory sees City leapfrog the Gunners into third place in the WSL and ensures we remain unbeaten on home soil this season.

Reflecting on the result, Taylor was delighted with how we applied pressure on the visitors from the get-go.

“[It was] a great day,” the boss said.

“We deserved that, the energy we put into the game was top drawer.

“We set about at the top end of the pitch, put Arsenal under pressure and forced errors.

“We could’ve been four or five up at half-time, but then we showed a different side in the second period and managed the game really well.”
