With three league matches remaining of the term, we are embroiled in a fierce race to the summit with reigning champions, Chelsea.
Approaching the final furlong of 2023/24, we have hit form at potentially the perfect time after setting a new league record for consecutive victories in a single season with 13.
And the boss believes our performances in training have driven our high standards as we pursue our second-ever WSL title.
“The supporting for the team from the team that hasn’t played has been incredible,” he explained.
“The likes of Demi, Steph and Esme who have been there pushing the players so much. We need that.
“You talk about Lauren [Hemp] and the players who want to commit with us is because the environment here is so good. It’s not easy to find that.
“It’s important you feel you can be yourself here and you’re really well supported. You’re pushed and challenged of course because you want to do good things, but you’re supported really well.
“I always try to highlight when we’ve always had a successful performance it’s not just about the players on the pitch who help capture that. It’s everybody.
“It’s the training session levels we have. The training session we had today, the players were so good, so so good. The levels of both teams are really challenging. It’s challenging physically and mentally.
“The concepts we’ve been working to have been great, I like the football we’re playing at the moment. The fact it’s producing good results is all the better.”
