City travel to Goodison Park to face Willie Kirk’s new-look side, with the Merseyside outfit potentially introducing several new faces off the back of a busy summer of transfer activity.
Toni Duggan represents one of the most eye-catching of those acquisitions, returning to her childhood club from Atletico Madrid to make up a trio of former City stars alongside midfielder Izzy Christiansen and Scottish international Claire Emslie.

“These are the games you look forward to, especially with it being on TV, it’s a big one for us, something we’re pleased to be a part of and a nice showcase to start the season.

“I think they made more signings than anyone in the league so far so there’s a bit of a statement of intent there in terms of what they want to achieve.
“But anyone over the course of time says that doesn’t guarantee fluidity and function straight away, it’ll take time.
“We hope it’s a good game, we want to be successful and we hope we can come away with the result we need.”
