The winger scored three goals and registered three assists in as many games across April as we climbed to second in the league table with six points from nine available.
This has seen her nominated for the division’s Player of the Month award and also up for the Goal of the Month prize for a sublime effort in our 6-2 success over West Ham.
In total, Kelly has scored six goals and assisted her team-mates on 13 occasions - more than any other player in the squad - as we remain firmly in what’s gearing up to be an exhilarating title race.
And Taylor says her individual displays have surpassed her performances from a sparkling maiden season at the Club in 2020/21 – where she netted 16 times in 34 appearances in all competitions.
“When she came in the first season she hit the ground running,” he explained.
“She was a real handful and we saw good things during her previous season at Everton and also had an eye on here from her days when she was a young player at Arsenal.
“I believe she’s in better form now than what we saw in that first season. In this period she’s got the bit between her teeth, a constant threat, playing with character, purpose and determination.
“That’s when you see the best of Chloe.
“She’s a real street fighter on the pitch, a constant thorn in the side, struck up good partnerships with Bunny and Lauren [Hemp] at the top end of the pitch more deeper with Filippa [Angeldahl] and [Kerstin] Casparij behind her.
“When you’ve got Chloe in this space, working like this, it’s just a case of guiding and supporting her, she’s doing really well.”
