Having moved past the halfway point in the term, the Blues are relentlessly fighting on three fronts as we look to add to our trophy cabinet.
Following our deserved 2-1 win over Manchester United in the Continental Cup last time out, we secured passage into the quarter-final of the competition.
What’s more, City are also embroiled in a fierce Barclays Women’s Super League title race and into the fifth round of FA Cup.
Next up in the league is a visit to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 28 January, with the the 14:00 (UK) kick-off live to watch on CITY+.
Ahead of our trip to the capital this weekend, Taylor has challenged his players to maintain our high standards across the rest of the term.
“It’s easy to say the Manchester United game [a 3-1 win] at Old Trafford was the catalyst, it brought a lot of confidence to go there and play and win like we did. But we always keep the players challenged,” he explained.
“I like a lot of what I’ve seen in terms of managing performances. We saw in the second game against Chelsea, we had so much thrown at us but the way the players stood up was an eye opener.
“We can really do something special this season. We’re not always going to have a clear run. We dominated the whole game the other night, but United had some moments which were probably down to us.
“But in general I’ve been really impressed with the cohesion from front to back, Without the ball we’ve been really good and that includes Mary [Fowler] and Jess [Park].
“Each game brings a new proposition so we need to constantly keep the focus on then next game, and the players have been good at that.
“Trying to be the best versions of ourselves.”
