Gareth Taylor has urged his Manchester City players to grasp the Barclays Women’s Super League title opportunity we’ve earned with both hands.

Entering the final furlong of the season, only goal difference is keeping us from the division’s summit with the Blues level on points with league leaders, Chelsea.

Starting with West Ham at the Joie Stadium on Sunday, we have four league matches remaining of the term as we eye a second-ever league crown.

And the boss encouraged his squad to maintain the high standards we’ve already set throughout the term in pursuit of glory.

“It’s important for us to step up and do our bit,” Taylor declared.

“All we’ll do is attack the next game, do our best and secure the game, then maintain high levels which we’ve always done.

“Sometimes we’re successful, sometimes not. I’m excited about this period. It’s a great opportunity for us.

“Speaking to the girls we highlighted what we’ve done well and the reasons why. If we looked at this opportunity at the start of the season, it’s a fantastic position to be in.

“We’ve worked so hard, we don’t want to lose this opportunity and want to take it all the way.”
