Gareth Taylor believes there's plenty more to come from Aoba Fujino as her sparkling development continues.

It comes after the Japan international scored and registered an assist in our 2-1 Barclays Women’s Super League victory over Spurs last time out.

She provided the opener at Brisbane Road when playing a neat one-two with Laura Blindkilde Brown and crossing for Vivianne Miedema to head home.

After the hosts equalised before the break and a draw grew more likely as the game ticked past the 75-minute mark, Fujino restored our lead with a thunderous effort from just inside the box.

Her performance in the capital raised her tally to three goals and seven assists since she signed for the Blues last summer.

And Gareth Taylor says this is just the beginning of her City career.

“She [Fujino] was great [against Spurs],” he declared.

City’s quadruple-header with Chelsea explained

“A goal and assist. Looked dangerous. She’s playing with really high confidence. I’ve just been impressed with Aoba full stop.

“At the beginning of the season we saw glimpses of a top class winger.

“She’s so coachable and she’s worked so hard on her final cross and finish and is doing extra every day.

“We have to ask her to go in because she would stay out. Laura Blindkilde Brown is like that. She got the rewards at the weekend with the start.

“Just really impressed with Aoba and when you think about how young she is. There’s so much more growth to come from her.”
