Hayley Raso hopes Manchester City can continue our strong form after a 3-0 Conti Cup win over Sunderland.

Raso starred in a comfortable win over the Black Cats, scoring our second sandwiched between strikes from Julie Blakstad and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw.

It was our second win of this season’s Continental Cup, and our seventh win in a row in all competitions, and one where Raso was awarded player of the match.

Following the win, she remarked how she hopes we can continue building momentum as we head into a busy run of fixtures, including a Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium.

She said: “We started off a little bit slow at the start of the season so it is really important for us to keep getting wins.

“We work hard on the training pitch and on the weekends and we have done it tonight.

“Hopefully we can keep building momentum.”
